The most frequently asked questions about our bubble tents
- How does a bubble tent actually work?
A bubble tent looks like an oversized, shiny soap bubble. The shell of the tent is completely transparent. There are no struts, poles or support beams to obstruct your view of the beautiful natural surroundings. The bubble is inflated by a low-noise turbine, which creates an overpressure. This ensures that the tent does not collapse.
How do you get in? Quite simple: you open the outer door and enter the airlock. You can leave your jackets and shoes here. Only when this door is closed again can the second door be opened, which leads you into the cozy interior of your bubble tent.
- What is the Bubble Tent made of?
All of ours are from Bubble Tent Germany. They are made from TPU, a material that is free from harmful substances, food-safe and 100% recyclable and have been carefully tested by DEKRA and have received REACH certification in accordance with the EU regulation „Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals“. So you can be sure that all our tents are free from harmful chemicals. Because the health of our customers, who know that our bubbles are also 100% recyclable and can be returned to the material cycle at the end of their useful life, the protection of the environment and the sustainable use of resources are important to us.
- And how does fresh air get into the tent?
Our bubble tents are equipped with an excellent air circulation system. A powerful fan completely exchanges all the air in the tent approx. every 5 minutes. So you can always breathe freely in your bubble. And without pollen or mosquitoes – because the fan is also equipped with a fine-mesh filter that stops everything that has no business in the tent.
- Is the fan very loud? How much energy does it consume?
Don’t worry, nothing stands in the way of your undisturbed sleep. Our specially developed fans are effective enough to maintain the bubble, yet whisper-quiet. For comparison: the noise of our devices reaches just 20 decibels – that’s about as quiet as the gentle rustle of leaves.
During development, we focused on high efficiency. Our fans are therefore extremely efficient and economical at the same time. Consumption is only 35-55 watts.
- Can you only stay at the Bubble Hotel in summer?
But no – our tents are of course suitable for adventure overnight stays in every season! Spring, summer, fall or winter – every season has its own special charm at the Bubble Hotel.
In summer, practical awnings provide pleasant shade and ensure comfortable temperatures inside. In addition, our ventilation system channels the outside air through pipes under the ground. This cools it down naturally without additional energy consumption before it enters the tent. Of course, it can still get quite warm in the Bubble Tent during the day when it’s very hot. But when you return from your excursion in the evening, the pleasantly cool evening air is drawn back into the tent. So you can look forward to relaxing and restful nights.
An overnight stay in the Bubble Hotel is also extremely cozy in winter. Electric blankets provide cozy warmth and the bubble tents are also equipped with warm fans. Instead of a silk nightgown, however, fluffy pyjamas are the better choice.
- Privacy in a bubble hotel – a contradiction?
Not at all! When designing our gardens, we took special care to ensure your privacy. Disturbances of any kind are therefore excluded. So you can enjoy your togetherness undisturbed.
